Welcome to my website where I express my love of nature.

Feeling the essence of shape, line and form influences my artistic expression. Seeing beauty in the world, I paint to create a sense of space and freedom to bring you into the moment, the now. Working with simplicity is a key component using balance, repetition, minimalism and a sense of calm contemplation. Making peaceful, ethereal and minimal paintings, saying more with less is a particular emphasis, so my work can bring this into your home and into your life.

My whole ethos is to use natural materials where ever possible. I use paint made from 100% natural pigments made using solar power and papers made from plants. This is of significant importance to me, to leave behind work that is not detrimental to our beautiful planet in the future.

Previously, having studied woven textiles at West Surrey College of Art and Design (1976-79) I have followed a path where my common thread has been colour and texture. Initially in textiles and subsequently in gardening, this brought me closer to nature and the intricacies of structure and form. I also like to use natural materials to create vessels that are inspired by nature.
